My account number is XXXXXXX. I have activated my new phone today. I am
new cell phone user so have somewhat of a learning curve to get over. One
thing I can't figure out how to do is to activate voice mail. Also, I
purchased the Talk n Text 1200 plan. The email I received shows an account
balance of 1.60 with an account expiration date of 6/23/2011 and shows a
Monthly Plan Expiration Date of 3/22/2011. I signed up for autopay. Why
are there two expiration dates? What does the balance of 1.60 mean?

Our response:
Dear <Customer Name Removed>,
Let me answer your questions one by one.
Here is the answer for voicemail:
================================================== ==========================
To set up your Voice Mail, press *VM (*86), then SEND. Follow the
set-up tutorial, which will walk you through selecting a password, and
recording both a voice signature and greeting for your Voice Mailbox.
Please note: If you press *VM (*86) and hear your own or a system
greeting, press the # key to interrupt the greeting and follow the
prompts to enter your password and retrieve your messages.
When you setup your voicemail for the first time, or are accessing it
for the first time, your DEFAULT password will be 9999 on the PagePlus
System. You can then change it to whatever you would like!
Note: Voice Mail may not be available in some areas. Voice Mailboxes
not set up within 45 days will be cancelled. Your Verizon Wireless
Voice Mailbox is not password protected until you create a password by
following the steps listed above. Mobile to Mobile Calling minutes do
not apply to Voice Mail retrievals; you will be charged to maintain
your connection to Voice Mail.

Here is the answer for the cash balance:
================================================== ==========================
Let me explain a bit about how the billing system works. When you activated or ported your phone in, we gave you a $2.00 free credit (as long as your number was totally new to Page Plus). Once we add a plan to your phone, whatever is left of that balance that you have not used will remain on your account for overage, etc.
When we add a plan to your account, the cash value of the plan gets ADDED to your balance and then TAKEN AWAY and then you are put on your plan for the month. For instance, if we were to add the TnT1200 plan to your account, $29.95 would get ADDED to your balance, then TAKEN AWAY, and then you would be put on your plan for the month.
This is nothing to be alarmed about, it's just how the Page Plus billing system works. As long as your status report (which you can get from http://www.kittywireless.com/pageplus/phonestatus.html) shows that you are on a plan, you are fine.

Here is the answer for the account expiration dates:
================================================== ==========================
Every PPC Account has two separate expiration dates. Let me explain. First, you have your account expiration date - that's the 120 day one. If you don't add plan or a pin or anything within 120 days, your entire account expires - phone number gets deleted.
Second, you have the plan expiration date. A TnT1200, UTnT, PowerText 2000/Unlimited PLAN expires every 1 month. After 1 month, the plan bundle stops giving you the benefit of that plan, however, you still have 90 more days to add another Plan PIN or Standard PAY AS YOU GO PIN to keep your account active.
If you are on Kitty AutoPay, you do not have to worry one bit about these expiration dates, as we will be taking care of your renewals for you :-) It's just good for you to understand what they are, and how they work.

<Customer Name Removed>, I know this is a lot of text to read, and I understand your learning curve. I hope this helps. You can learn a lot by visiting http://help.kittywireless.com, too :) If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
