I currently have 4 phones activated on PP for the family.

I recently went from the standard prepay plan to the 1200TNT plan on a Moto Droid X, and now before every call I make, I get the announcement of my cash balance(Which is a cash balance I use for the $29.95 renewals). I have called PP on this twice now and they say they have tried with ther techs but cannot turn it off. They gave me some story that its because I have a cash balance on a monthly plan. They also gave me some story that it is coming from Verizon because its a verizon phone and its beyond their control(Verizon is in control of it, but then they admitted VZ wont help me because I am on pageplus). They also won't help because its a Droid.

I thought I read that a cash balance is how I should be renewing my monthly plan, but they made it sound like I should be using PINs instead, and maybe that is the problem.

Does anybody know the truth to this and if there is any way to solve it - If I should just stack PINs then maybe I will do it, but I want to make sure before I do - Not sure how I would get rid of an existing cash balance either if its not exactly $29.95.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Michael

First option: Move your number to a Page Plus Approved device. Submit a ticket, it will get investigated.

Second option: If you don't want to do that, wait until the LAST day of your current TNT1200 plan, call them, have them remove it completely. Reprogram your phone using *22890 SEND, then, after waiting a few hours WITH YOUR BATTERY OUT, add a new TnT1200 PIN to have it rebundle a new plan on your line. The outgoing balance notification gets turned off during the plan bundling process. Most likely that part of the bundling process got stuck the first time you bundled the plan onto your line.

It's up to you whether you use cash PINs or stacked PINs, however, Page Plus will only fix billing problems on lines that use Stacked PINS (generally speaking) because the older cash method is too easy to "mess up" on and cause a problem with.

I would probably try the second option I wrote above.

Reviving an old thread, but I currently have the same issue on my phone and have yet to see anywhere with a confirmed method to resolve it. Like many others have been told, PP says I need to move to an approved feature phone before they can get it fixed. I'm going to try method 2 above before going through that trouble & expense. If the answer is that simple, I'll report back to some of the mulitiple threads I've dug up with users experiecing this problem and no confirmed resolution.

Just an update that I tried option 2 and it corrected the problem. In fact, I tried making a call immediately after cancelling the plan (reverting to standard) and the message went away, so that may be all that's required.

The sad part was none of the 3 PP CS reps. nor supervisors I talked to knew this or suggested it, and I told them I would have no choice but to ditch PP if it couldn't be resolved.

Glad our advice helped! This is a very rare, but definitely fixable, problem. I'll be sure to pass this tip along to the Page Plus Training Supervisors so they can include this in their materials.
