Last week I won an aution on Ebay for three sch-i760 "for parts", two dual slot charging docks, three chargers, and two extra (for a total of five) batteries. Since the seller said that the "phones will not activate" I figured that they were dead or had bad ESN. I really just wanted the charging docks. I got the phones today, and turned them on. They all seem to work fine, so just for kicks, I checked the ESNs. They all reported as clean.
I used the ESN's printed under the battery of the phone. Is there place in the software to verify the ESN? What would cause a phone that reports a clean ESN not to activate? I feel like I must be missing something pretty obvious here. I'm afraid I'm just knowledgeable enough to be dangerous.
Thanks
