Prepaid and Cheaper iPhone Rumors to Take On Android

Apple may be preparing to assault the prepaid side of Android with a contract-free iPhone of its own.

According to Boy Genius Report, an anonymous source says Apple plans to launch a prepaid, contractless version of the iPhone 3GS or 4GS for just $350. "

This has been reported at a number of sites. Wonder if this could be a coming PagePlus surprise! ?

I guess anything is possible...however, even though it will be a prepaid, no-contract phone, 4g is still not supported on PagePlus. Also, the iPhone is registered with an IMEI#, NOT an ESN, which is not recognizable in PagePlus's database as a valid device #. So even if it is a 3GS, there are still some incompatibility issues there.

But, who knows??? Page Plus has a new and exciting future ahead of them, as does KW, which can mean only good things for PP and KW customers!!

For every ones info Apple doesn' yet make nor sell a g4 phone. The current Apple g4 phone is G3 just like the G3 before it.Yes odd as it seems the g4 phone both AT&T & Verizon models are g3 data phones. In fact rumor has it the G5 phone expected in early Oct is likely to still be G3 though a gobal phone (CDMA & GSM) and not G4.

Not saying it won't happen, but like Page Plus's LONG rumored more data plan , I'll believe it when I see it.

I have seen in another forum a guy who claims he has a HTC Thunderbolt working on PPC. Do you think that's true? About this thread, to be honest I don't think we'll ever see a prepaid iphone in PPC...

Thanks for the link... I know PPC isn't supporting 4G handsets as of right now. That's why I was asking about this. If that guy really has a Thunderbolt working on Page Plus, he did some extra programming with it, so it could work with PPC.

I belive Virgin Mobil has the iphone now but their coverage is limited.
