I can't figure out why they are charging him with criminal mischief. There isn't anything in what he did that meets the definition, unless they are saying he damaged airline property by drinking the beer. Opening the slide wouldn't damage the aircraft.

I agree. He shouldn't be charged with anything. He was also charge with trespassing as well. He just walked of the job. You can't be trespassing if you are leaving only if you are entering. He was also suspended from his job, if you quit, you can't be suspended. He actually got hit on the head with the luggage. We don't know how heavy the luggage is. Speaking of this, where was the air marshal doing this incident? They are suppose to keep passengers and flight attendants calm.

There is not an air marshal on every flight. And he actually did quit, during his tirade over the intercom he said 'he'd had it'. I also found out through another article that it costs up to $10,000 to replace an emergency hatch, not to mention the time the aircraft is out of service. That is criminal mischief in the second degree.
On a lighter note, Levi Johnston is running for mayor of Wasilla, AK. Why, oh why will this attention-starved narcissistic child not go away and get a real job? He likes to hunt; he'd make a GREAT taxidermist. He's good at sucking whatever life is left out of a living thing and throwing it away. Here's hoping his tendencies don't rub off on that little baby.
