Hey everyone, I just bought a Verizon Casio G'zOne Brigade off eBay today. I figured that since it is a BREW/ feature phone I will have to manually program it for MMS and data.
I mainly just want it for MMS, don't care about internet or the web browser.
Can anyone give the the steps so when I receive the phone I can set it up?
Thanks!

Also wanted to ask: If data does not work does that mean that the phone won't pick up a OTA software update if there is one?
If it won't will a Verizon place be able to update it for me?

I wouldn't think, that a Verizon store would have any interest in helping you update, if you're not a Verizon customer, but YMMV. :)

I might see if my friend will activate it on his verizon account and I can do the update and then activate it on page plus.....

If it won't will a Verizon place be able to update it for me?I'm not sure if this kind of phone is capable of an OTA update, at least in the sense of an Android OTA update.
Also, many/most Vzw feature phones need modifications to get data, which is required for MMS. The methods I've read about involve BitPim and a hex editor, and I don't think the Casio G'zOne Brigade is compatible with BitPim, although there may be other methods of modification that I don't know about.
I think you should at least do a little bit of research on this to see if you can find reports that MMS on the Casio G'zOne Brigade will work on PPC without modification.
Good luck, and please let us know what you find out.

My husband has the casio g'zone type s, it is one of the original g'zone phones I just sent him a picture of our daughter and he was able to get it just fine. We are both on pageplus.

Yeah it does OTA update just like my old enV Touch. I am just going to have my friend activate it and do the update on his Verizon account and then deactivate his phone and then I can put it on my page plus number. I want the latest update as it fixes many bugs, as I read from the Verizon site. If I can't get MMS working its no big deal bi don't use it very much at all, was just wondering for convience. People can email me their pics. Lol.
And I don't care about mobile web at all. So that's no big deal. I just wanted to get this phone to throw on the 12 plan and use just as a compliment to the new iPod touch when it comes out. So it will only be used as a light caller and texter.
