Is there a way on vBulletin to enable persistent logins? If so, perhaps you have chosen not to use it.
I don't have persistent logins enabled on the phpBB forum I administer.

A feature that allows a user to remain logged-in (usually implemented with a cookie) for a configurable amount of time. Prevents users from having to log in each time they access the forum.

Mine works. I don't have to login every time.

I've changed the setting to a 4 hour persistent login.

Using Firefox here and I am always logged-in.
Did you put a check in the box when you logged-in?

If you close your browers it may not work. I notice on any site if I close my browser (Doesn't matter which one I am using.) I have to log in again.

If you use LastPass it always just logs you into any site
LastPass is an online password manager and form filler that makes web browsing easier and more secure. Xmarks for firefox saves all your bookmarks too
