    Porting from old 3G platform

Okay. I'm sorry if this is covered somewhere else but ....

still on the old puppy 3G platform. I understand that I need to port over to the new platform BEFORE I could Change to a 4g phone. Not ready to do either right now because my plan just renewed and I believe any kind of port is on hold at this time anyway.

However, is the plan still to do a mass migration from old to new or should we just go ahead and individually port over from old to new?

Also when porting to new platform is there a certain amount of time before renewal this should be done?

I haven't done this before because things have been so backed up & I'm really not in any hurry....but I will be getting a 4g phone sometime this fall & porting my husband to Puppy on my present 3G phone.

    Any input is appreciated.

The old platform will be shutoff before 12/31/2015. You need to get your number over onto the new platform before then.

You can't do it right now because ports are off. When they come back online you really should order a port and get it scheduled. We still recommend a 15 day lead time.

Yes, we will forcibly migrate customers off the old platform at some point if you don't move yourself sooner.

If one has a device on the old (original) platform and has no need to upgrade, wouldn't it be simpler to just wait for the mass migration? Seems like this alone would reduce the manual porting backlog.

I also have this question: have a 3g phone on Puppy & want to switch from the 3G phone to my idle puppy sim in my idle 4g phone, Just went to my Puppy 3G dashboard and it looks like it gives an option to switch right in the dashboard!!. See attached jpg.
Is this possible to do it so simply?
Or do I have to port from the puppy 3g to the 4g through my Kitty Saving's club?
Or with a Puppy ticket in the Puppy Dashboard?
hoping to get the switch done now, whichever way is best.
    thanks!

You MUST log into your Savings Club and you MUST order a PORT request to go from the OLD platform to the NEW Platform. No way around this.

You cannot get this done "now", because the new plans are not available for ordering yet. Later tonight, we're hoping. WHEN they go online, you can order your port.

We already have over 4,000 people per hour hitting our ports page. Ports are going to pile up fast, and there WILL be a long delay, I suspect, in ports.

Ok so I am on puppy wireless with 3G iphone would like to upgrade with my iphone 5 4G lite Have ordered a new compatible SIM card. What the heck do I do now, I am not a techie, can I go to "mypuppywireless.com" and just fill in the NEW MEID NUMBERS AND OTHER DROP DOWN MENUES? Or do I have to port over, and there don't seem to be any available ,from what I can gather from all the various postings. My present old iphone is just about worn out, how long do I have to wait for a port over if that is what I am supposed to do? I love Kitty and have been a member for some time but I am frustrated and confused with all the memos and instructions online about this new platform? Could someone please clarify, for and old broad how and when I can change over to my 4g iphone. Thx

    Always start at www.kittywireless.com/puppy/ports.html

Ports are not turned back on yet.

If I want to switch from the old platform to the new platform can I do it without losing 15 days of service time? I have 3 phones that are 3g and will still be 3g on the new platform but I really don't want to lose 15 days worth of service that I already paid for just to switch to the new platform. Thanks.
