Free E-Mail Reminders Program Expanded to User-Specified Low Balance Amount

TALK N TEXT 1200 and UNLIMITED PLAN Reminders Available As of April 17th, 2011

For about 9 months now Kitty Wireless has had a FREE REMINDERS PROGRAM for our customers. Our reminders program gave you email or text reminders anytime that your:

    1. Cash Balance dropped below a value you entered.

    2. Your plan expiration date was coming due.

    3. Your account expiration date was near.

Over the past few months we have had hundreds of requests to expand our Free Reminders Program to include being able to send reminders for our customers on the Talk n Text 1200 or Unlimited Talk n Text plans when their plan allotments are getting low.

Since over 75% of our customer base subscribes to the Talk n Text 1200 plan, we agree that this is an important idea. And so, we invested to have it developed. For you, our customer.

You can now get E-Mail or SMS Text Reminders whenever:

    1. Your TnT1200 Minutes remaining drop below a level that you specify;

    2. Your TNT1200 Messages remaining drop below a level that you specify; or

    3. Your Unlimited Talk n Text OR Talk n Text 1200 Data Remaining drops below a level that you specify!

Existing Reminder Customers are NOT automatically enrolled in Talk n Text 1200 reminders. You must update your reminder record using this form for each phone number to have it included in Talk n Text 1200 Reminders OR Unlimited Talk n Text Data reminders.

Talk n Text 1200 Reminders EXCLUSIVELY from Kitty

We are very excited to announce that our FREE REMINDERS PROGRAM will now allow you to get email and text reminders based on the amount of minutes, messages or data you have left in your Talk n Text 1200 plan.

For example, you can now specify that you want to get a FREE REMINDER anytime you have less than 100 minutes, 250 messages, or 20mb of data remaining. These values are examples, you can set your own reminder levels for TnT1200 now, as well.

    Updating an Existing Reminder

If you have an existing number enrolled in our Reminders Program right now, and you want to update that enrollment to include free Talk n Text 1200 Reminders, just go to this page and enter your information for that phone number again, and it will overwrite your existing profile.

Your new settings from this page will overwrite your existing reminder settings for THAT phone number.

You must re-do this page for every phone number you wish to update with the new Talk n Text 1200 reminder capabilities.

    Creating a New Reminder

If you are not yet enrolled in our reminder program, and you want to create a new reminder for a PagePlus Cellular Number, just go to this page and enter your information for that phone number, and it will create a new reminder record for you for that number.

    Removing A Reminder Record

If you ever port your number out of PagePlus, or change your cellular phone number, that Reminder Record will get deleted automatically. However, if you want to manually REMOVE your phone number from our reminders program, just go to this page and it will be done.

If You Change your PagePlus Cellular Phone Number

If you change your PagePlus cellular number, our system will not be able to send you reminders to your new number until you enroll the new number in our reminders program. We have no idea what your new number is unless you tell us. Please keep this in mind, in case you ever change your number - you will need to re-enroll the new number in reminders as if it were new. (Because it is!)

But Wait! We didn't totally forget Unlimited Talk n Text Subscribers!

If you are on UNLIMITED Talk n Text on PagePlus, and you are on our reminder program, you do not need Minute or Message reminders, because you have unlimited. But we can still give you DATA reminders :-)

Just go to this page, create your new reminder, or update your existing reminder for a number, and tell us what you want your DATA reminder level to be!

    Reminders Discussion Thread

It's always good to discuss new things... so feel free to drop by our forums and talk about our Reminders Program :-) We always have the BEST chats on Kitty Forums!

    Disclaimer on Reminders

Kitty Wireless has developed, maintained, and provides, our Free Reminders Program as a courtesy for our customers. While it has proven to be very handy and very reliable, we will not accept responsibility for any loss of funds or phone numbers, for any reason, because a reminder did not get dispatched to you, or did not receive it. It is 100% the customer's responsibility to manually monitor their account expiration dates, funds expiration dates, and other account information. Our system has proven to be very reliable, however, it is not 100% guaranteed.

    Enjoy!

    Thanks,
    Kitty Wireless

How often is the account balance checked? When one of my balances dropped to $1.74, I manually added a $10 PIN, however, I never received a low-balance e-mail.

If your balance is $10.00 or above, the system pings your line every 72 hours.

If your balance is $3.00 or below, the system pings your line every 24 hours.

We cannot ping more often than that (check more often than that) because Page Plus will get VERY upset if we are overloading their servers with status requests. The program does NOT do instantaneous checking, if that is what you are looking for - that would cause major load on the PPC servers (considering we have 15,000+ people on our reminder program).

    Hi Kitty,

I'm on the TnT 1200 w/ kitty autopay & would like to get text reminders for plan & account expiration date is coming up, but NOT for the low balance since my balance will always be the $$ left over from the original $2 signup ($1.21). Is this possible?...& if so what dollar amount should be put in the low balance email notification box on the sign up form. Thanks.

Sure, it's possible. Just put $0.01 for your reminder level and then our system will practically never send you those, but will still send you plan/account expiration reminders

I was out of town on a Holiday Weekend. I was running out of minutes, trying to just get through until morning. I was glad I had a couple minutes left in case of emergency on the way home. Plus, maybe hooking up with friends for dinner before heading home.
All morning long I kept getting text messages from PagePlus, "reminding" me I was running out of minutes. I'd get them every few minutes over and over.
Guess what? PP ran me out of minutes on the last day.

If I sign up for this, would this be in addition to the bombardment of messages I already get from PP?

The reason that you were getting them so often from Page Plus is because you must have been using your phone. The Page Plus reminders, when you get below a certain value, are triggered EVERY TIME you use your phone. After every call you place or receive, after every message you send or receive.

Our system does not do that. Our system will remind you once - via text or email, your choice, and then wait 12-24 hours before doing it again.

Those messages from Page Plus did NOT cost you any money. Those messages are FREE. They did NOT run you out of money on your lost day. OUR message is NOT free. Standard text messaging rates WOULD apply.

    Hope this helps.

    Kitty
