Page Plus Cellular Protects Unlimited Plan Users (Unlimited Excessive Use Discussion)

In regards to the the status of Page Plus Cellular’s unlimited plans, we are here to reassure our customers that we are continuing, as always, to advocate for them. Our goal is to provide prepaid cellular plans that offer an excellent value to all our customers. When abuse of unlimited plans occurs, the quality of your cellular plan is put in jeopardy, and that is something we are working hard to prevent.

Some specific instances that exemplify abuse of unlimited prepaid cellular plans include customers:

    * Having the phone in use 23 hours per day
    * Tethering a phone for continuous dial-up access
    * Tying their telephone in to an inbound 800 or 900 number

As you can imagine, any of the scenarios above could start to have a negative impact on the quality of service all customers receive. Unlimited plans offer great value and are extremely competitive in today’s market, and the majority of customers enjoy this service without abusing the system. However, in order to protect all customers and maintain the high quality of prepaid cell phone service you deserve, it has become necessary to enforce abuse policies more strictly. Enforcing these policies helps cellular companies better serve their customers, and it guarantees that customers receive the best prepaid cell phone service possible.

Our customers are our first priority, and it is our goal to protect their rights and continue to offer them the affordable and reliable prepaid cellular plans they’ve come to expect. If you know anyone who is abusing the function of their unlimited cell phone service, we encourage you to report that individual so they can be moved to a standard pay-as-you-go plan.

Thank you for doing business with Page Plus Cellular. We look forward to continuing to provide you with the exceptional prepaid cellular service you deserve.

If they had just done this when they booted people off, there would have been way less drama.

I think a few got cut-off when they didn't abuse it. The other problem was pageplus not pro-rating some people, when they just paid.

In my opinion. They shouldn't call it unlimited. They need to do it like the 1200 T&T plans. 3000 T&T message for $45.00 then if people want to use more, they would pay overage rate using a standard pin. This way no one gets kicked off.

They should have had this in place to start with. A procedure needed to be defined in order to protect the customers, as well as define the parameters for the plan.
What they did was like giving a 16 year old the keys to the car with no rules and he drove to the other side of the country. Then the parents get pissed and take the car away. If there were no rules to begin with they can't really punish the kid for doing something he didn't know he wasn't supposed to.
    Just my opinion.
