I'm not familiar enough with the Pixi to know what this means....

My Palm Pixi plus keeps giving me an error message of Too Many Cards, please discard some so more can be added. What is a Card? Is that a contact?

Is it playing Rummy?
Seriously though, do you have Facebook on it? If so, it may have imported all your FB contacts and filled up your contact slots? Just a thought.
Every time you open a program, it is called a card.
Sounds like you may have too many things open.
I had none of those cards open that you move upward and off the phone. Doing a google search on too many cards, please discard some, this seems to be a real big problem with the Palm Pixi and appears to be due to a memory leak with some of the programs. I turned the phone off and restarted it and it went away.
You should do that once a week or so anyway. Most smartphones benefit from a reboot.
I too had the same issue---I have yet to open anything that would down load as my data access is closed. So too many cards is a "application or design defect of palm" and rebooting is the patch---not the fix. And if I have to go thru this on a regular basis, ~~~~~Anyone want to buy a 1 month old Palm Pixi???
Too many cards can come from running too many programs. Could be problems with an application. Technically, its probably a memory leak. I know my Twitter app throws off error messages every once in a while. Too many errors and a "Too many cards" message is soon to follow.
Cleanest way to clear the problem is with a restart. You can either hold down the power button for 10 seconds or go through the Device Info app.
